Body found in Rancho Mirage identified as missing woman

Body found Tuesday night in Rancho Mirage identified as that of a woman who was reported missing last month.

The woman has been identified as Jennifer “Jennie” Carpenter Sulcoski, 50, of Rancho Mirage. She was reported missing by friends and family on September 19. According to family, she left for work early that morning and was never seen again or heard from again.

The Rancho Mirage Police Department received a report of a deceased person at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Monterrey Avenue north of Clancy Lane. The body was discovered on the north side of a Southern California Edison Substation in a field between Clancy Lane and Verbenia Road.

A death investigation is still active. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a tweet that they do not suspect foul play.
