Coachella Candidates forum set tonight
The midterm elections are less than a month away and voters will have a chance to hear from candidates, running for Coachella city council Thursday night.
A total of five qualified candidates will appear on the ballot but, current council member Steve Brown has said he’s not campaigning and has endorsed other candidates in the field for city council.
The other four qualified candidates are Megan Beaman-Jacinto, Victor Alcantara, Josie Gonzalez, former council member Gilbert Ramirez Jr.
Mayor Steven Hernandez is running unopposed for re-election.
The candidate forum has invited all qualified candidates to appear where they will be introduced and share views on topics on the local economy and general prosperity of the city.
The event will be held at the Bagdouma Community Center located at 51-251 Douma St. in Coachella. It will start promptly at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 11th, 2018.
There is no charge for admission. The public will be allowed in until the room has reached capacity. All candidates who have filed for election and are ballot eligible have been invited to participate.
