October Coachella Valley Spotlight recipient: Angel View

The October Spotlight recipient is Angel View.

The funds from the $25,000 grant from the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation will be used to support Angel View’s outreach program, which provides a variety of free services and assistance to families raising children with disabilities.

Angel View was founded in Desert Hot Springs in 1954. Initially, the nonprofit provided care for children suffering from polio. Now Angel View has expanded programs for children and adults with developmental or physical disabilities, such as head injuries, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, or orthopedic disorders.

Angel View houses clients in 19 different group homes with trained staff. Most recently, Angel View started an outreach program intended to support children with disabilities living at home. The nonprofit is able to provide financial support to families who need to travel for medical appointments or need special equipment and supplies not covered by insurance.
