Caltrans work again slowing freeway traffic
UPDATE TUESDAY AM: Caltrans crews were again working along the eastbound I-10 freeway lanes in Indio and closing two of its three lanes Tuesday morning just east of the Jefferson Street Interchange.
Crews were in the eastbound freeway’s fast lane and middle lane, closing two of the freeway’s three traffic lanes
Traffic was backed up for more than a mile to Washington Street in the eastbound lanes.
Take an alternate route to avoid the slowdown if you can.

Police were working to clear a non-injury single vehicle collision that was slowing traffic on Interstate 10 eastbound in Indio Monday morning.
The collision happened at 5:52 a.m. near the Jefferson Street interchange.
The wreck happened just west of a stretch of freeway where Caltrans road crews were working along the freeway and closing two of it’s three eastbound lanes.
The eastbound freeway lanes were closed at 11:52 p.m. Sunday night from just east of Washington Street to just east of Jefferson Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Traffic was backing up for approximately a mile nearly to Washington Street in the eastbound freeway lanes much of the morning.
