Driver killed in single vehicle crash, Gene Autry reopened to traffic
A driver is dead following a single vehicle crash in Palm Springs.
Palm Springs Police said the vehicle was driving southbound on Gene Autry when it crossed over the median for unknown reasons and rolled over, crashing into the northbound sidewalk and a tree.
Officers confirmed a male driver is dead and a male passenger has been hospitalized with moderate injuries.
PSPD closed Gene Autry northbound from Tamarisk to Tachevah for a period of time. The road reopened at around 2 a.m. Friday morning.
