Fair weather continues with ideal stargazing conditions

Winds will be fairly calm throughout the valley this evening, with light breezes across the board. The general wind pattern remains offshore.

The Geminid meteor shower will be peaking Wednesday and Thursday. Under ideal conditions, up to 60 meteors might be seen per hour, if not more! The best chance to see some shooting stars will be between 10PM and 2AM in a dark area looking away from sources of light. Allow your eyes to adjust to the dark conditions by avoiding electronic devices.

Over the next few days, high pressure will continue to build over Southern California. This will allow offshore flow to continue. However, we will notice some more clouds filling the skies on Friday.

Temperatures remain above average, but fair through the start of next week. Moisture levels will increase to start off next week as there is a potential for some precipitation in the second half of the week.
