Hikers find body near Desert Hot Springs

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a body found by hikers Sunday morning in the Sky Valley Hills area of Desert Hot Springs. Hundreds ‘Hike 4 Education’

Nearly 400 people hit the trails Sunday at Lake Cahuilla Recreational Park in La Quinta for the 2nd Annual Hike 4 Education. The event was hosted by the Desert Sands Educational Foundation to benefit Desert Sands Unified School District students and technology on their campuses. Proceeds will be used to buy Chromebooks for the classroom.

Palm Springs debuts its first senior assisted living village for the LGBT community this weekend.
