News Channel 3 invites you to help us as we team up with California Highway to ‘Cover the Cruiser’ for CHiPs for Kids.

You can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any Walgreens in the Coachella Valley, or Mathis Home at 81410 US Highway 111, Indio, between now and December 17th.

On December 7th from 12 noon to 6pm, a special “Cover the Cruiser” event will be held at the office of Walter Clark located at 71861 CA-111, Rancho Mirage, where you can also drop off a new, unwrapped toy.

California Highway Patrol officers will be collecting toy donations for its annual collection of toys for children in need around the Coachella Valley.

Toys you can donate include:
- Sporting items
- Hygiene items for preteens: body wash/spray combos
- Dolls, toy cars, learning games, or board games.
- Any toy for children up to 18 years old.

Toys will be distributed December 18th - 21st.
