Santa Ana winds arrive Wednesday

Another above-average day with high temperatures in the upper 70s across the valley floor. Temperatures will gradually cool through the evening, to the low 60s by 9:00 p.m.

Beginning Wednesday, wind speeds will begin to strengthen and take on a northerly flow.

A High Wind Warning goes into effect for San Bernardino and Riverside county mountains, including the San Gorgonio Pass, at 6:00 a.m. for gusts up to 70 MPH.

A Wind Advisory will go into effect at 4:00 p.m. for the High Desert, including Joshua Tree National Park, for gusts up to 40 MPH.

Winds will weaken by Thursday afternoon for all locations and temperatures will begin a warming trend once more, back into the 80s for the weekend ahead.
