Seasonably cool and dry for the weekend

Clear skies will remain overhead through this Friday night as temperatures cool into the 40s before midnight. The breezy offshore winds that were felt this morning will weaken and return to a westerly flow.

A Frost Advisory will be in effect for the Inland Empire until 8:00 a.m. Saturday. No weather alert is in place for the Coachella Valley, but lower-lying, wind-sheltered portions of golf courses may see some frost development.

The trough of low pressure that brought Thursday night's clouds is moving east, and temperatures will subtly warm into the weekend as weak high pressure builds over California.

Despite a slightly warmer setup for the weekend, both low and high temperatures will remain seasonably cool for our extended forecast. Moving into Monday, another low-pressure system will move into the desert southwest. While the Coachella Valley will stay dry, temperatures will drop, and winds will take on a northerly flow.
