Man pulled over in La Quinta, arrested for alleged possession of fentanyl, cocaine, hydrocodone, Xanax

A 43-year-old Indio man was arrested in La Quinta late Monday night for possession of fentanyl and several other drugs after a traffic stop, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

At 11:20 p.m. Monday, deputies assigned to RSO's La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a traffic stop on the 78900 block of Adams Street in La Quinta. The driver, Thomas Prince, was found to be driving on a suspended license, and, after further investigation, was found to be in possession of fentanyl, cocaine, Xanax, and hydrocodone with intent to sell, according to RSO.

According to county jail records, he was arrested near the intersection of La Palma Drive and Adams Street. He was booked into Indio Jail at 1:51 a.m. Tuesday.

" The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team is asking anyone with additional information to contact Deputy Preciado at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling (760)-863-8990," read the RSO release on the incident.

Prince faces one count of felony possession of narcotics for sale. He is free on $30,000 bail.
