Plans show what 160-acre Coachillin’ Canna-Business Park could look like
Developers continue to make progress in Desert Hot Springs on a large cannabis cultivation and entertainment venue project: the 160-acre Coachillin' Canna-Business Park.
“The Coachillin Project” is a proposed large cannabis compound that would not only grow cannabis on site but also have several entertainment options for the public, including restaurants, retail, bars and the latest addition: a huge amphitheater.
New designs recently released show what this amphitheater could look like. The 3D plans online say it will be capable of holding 5,000 people on site. The venue would host concerts and other entertainment events for the public.
According to plans published online, “The Coachillin Project” will also feature more than 3,000,000 square feet of sustainable cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, processing, testing, distribution, and touring and education facilities.
These plans could rival the Mike Tyson KIND festival event that debuted in the city last year. That event attracted about 5,000 festival-goers. Desert Hot Springs Mayor Matas supported the festival and all the business it brought to the city.
According to the project site, the project is "fully-entitled, having obtained Desert Hot Springs approval for a whole-project Specific Plan."
