Overnight La Quinta shooting under investigation

Police were investigating an overnight shooting in La Quinta Thursday morning.

It reportedly happened around midnight on Avenida Diaz near Eisenhower Drive.

KESQ News Channel 3 was told deputies responded to initial reports of a suspect shooting at his girlfriend.

But they could not find any shell casings or anyone injured in the surrounding area.

Two people were detained.
