29-year-old man killed in crash in Indio
A 29-year-old man was killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Indio.
The wreck happened at around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Monroe Street and Requa according, to the Indio Police Department.
Officers say the wreck was a two-car collision. Cal fire Crews that responded to the scene took one of the drivers to the hospital, where they later died.
The person was identified on Monday as Yordi Jose Del Toro Mendoza, 29, of Indio.
Investigators are now looking into what led up to the crash. They are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
