Swiss teenager arrested on suspicion of stabbing an Orthodox Jewish man on a Zurich street

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Swiss police have arrested a teenager on suspicion of stabbing and critically wounding an Orthodox Jewish man on the streets of Zurich. The statement from Zurich police said antisemitism was the suspected motive. Police said Sunday they received a report of an argument involving several people at 9:35 p.m. Saturday. According to their initial findings, the perpetrator attacked the Orthodox Jewish man with a “stabbing weapon.” Police described the perpetrator as a 15-year-old Swiss citizen who was arrested at the scene. They also said they were increasing security around certain sites with a Jewish connection as a precaution.
