Crews paving over new gas line, expect delays on Indian Canyon near 19th avenue

Commuters should expect delays on Indian Canyon near 19th avenue as construction will be starting at 7am and concluding at 3:30pm. 

According to a notice on the city’s website, drivers should expect delays on Thursday during normal commuting hours and potentially use alternate routes as needed. 

Northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, as crews will be working to complete road paving over a newly installed gas line. 

This project is in addition various construction projects on stretches of Indian Canyon over the past few months, including the two-way conversion project near downtown Palm Springs and a widening project that has also been ongoing.
