Heat and wildfire smoke prompt a First Alert Weather Alert from Wednesday through Friday
An extended heatwave will keep highs in the one-teens through the weekend and into next week. The heat will peak Wednesday - Friday, so a First Alert Weather Alert will be in place to mirror the Extreme Heat Warning issued by the National Weather Service.

That Extreme Heat Warning goes into effect at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

A First Alert Weather Alert will be in effect for the same time-frame as the Extreme Heat Warning.

Heat today will rise above yesterday's levels:

Dew points will remain in the 30s and 40s, so you can use your evaporative coolers to fight the heat.

Temps drop slightly, but not much heading into the weekend, so the one-teens are likely here for many days to come.
