Two arrested for riding atop train near Del Mar

DEL MAR, Calif. (KESQ) - Two people have been arrested after allegedly being caught riding on top of a train near Del Mar, authorities said today.
Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station responded about 5 p.m. Friday to multiple reports of two individuals on top of a northbound COASTER train, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
By the time deputies arrived, the suspects had climbed off the train and left the area, prompting a search, officials said.
The first suspect was located in the 200 block of South Coast Highway 101 and the second in the 300 block of South Cedros Avenue, both in Solana Beach, authorities said.
"Both individuals admitted to riding on top of the train. They were subsequently arrested for trespassing on railroad property,'' the sheriff's office said in a statement.
The names and ages of the suspects were not immediately available.
No injuries were reported.
