Sepp Straka addresses media, set to defend title at 2026 American Express

LA QUINTA, Calif. (KESQ) -- Sepp Straka is back in the desert, ready to defend his tournament title at the 67th edition of the American Express.

Straka won the 2025 tournament by two shots, finishing at 25-under par, securing a check for $1.5 million dollars.

Ranked No. 12 in the world, the 32-year-old Austrian will be making his sixth tournament start.

Straka starts his week at La Quinta Country Club on Thursday, playing alongside Sam Burns.
