Palm Desert church to hold candlelight vigil in response to ICE shootings in Minnesota
PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) – A candlelight vigil is set for Tuesday evening at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert.
The brief memorial is expected to start at 6:00 p.m. on the front steps of St. Margaret's.
A flyer promoting the vigil said it was being held "in remembrance of those recently killed by ICE in Minnesota and in solidarity with immigrants, refugees, and all who live in fear. We gather to pray for the dead, comfort the grieving, and stand for justice, dignity, and compassion."
News Channel 3 will have live coverage of the vigil at 5, 6, and 6:30 tonight. Stay with us for the latest.
