CV Giving Day 2026: 24-hour online fundraiser for local nonprofits underway

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - It's CV Giving Day, a 24-hour push to support nonprofits across the Coachella Valley. At the heart of Giving Day are the people who benefit from that generosity.

Hosted by the Desert Community Foundation and California Bank & Trust, CV Giving Day makes it easy for everyone to give back to the causes they care about most.

Each year, thousands of donors come together to support the hundreds of participating nonprofits working on the front lines — from youth programs and food security to housing, education, and the arts.

Since 2023, this one-day event has raised more than $2 million in critical funds and collected positive awareness for Coachella Valley causes. So far this year over 300-thousand dollars have been raised.

In addition to the fundraiser, participating nonprofits may receive $1,000 to $10,000 in prize incentives.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Giving Day has raised $514,374, officials said.
