Motorcyclist killed in crash along Highway 74 Saturday morning

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (KESQ) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash along Highway 74 Saturday morning, California Highway Patrol says.

CHP Indio's office says the motorcycle was found in the roadway nearly mile marker 88 at 7:35 a.m. Saturday, with the rider on the other side of the guardrail.

The rider died shortly after, with their family requesting their name not be released.

Authorities say the cause of the crash is still under investigation, with alcohol or drugs not suspected to be a factor.
