Above seasonal averages and slightly drier

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — The main story of our weather the last few weeks has been dew points, which have dropped a good amount from the 70 degrees we saw in some cities earlier this week.

Today, dew points across the valley will hover around and below the 50-degree mark, helping provide more comfortable conditions.

Today at 9 a.m.

Although we are seeing relief from the moisture, today’s highs remain above the seasonal average at 113 degrees. Make sure to stay hydrated and indoors when you can!

The extreme heat warning put in place by the National Weather Service remains in effect through this week until 8 p.m. Friday.

Highs and lows will remain above seasonal averages through this week.
