Cooler temperatures to end August

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — September is a few days away, and after a hot month, temperatures are expected to end August below seasonal averages.

Today’s temperatures will be near seasonal averages, with highs between 103 and 108 degrees.

Dew points have dried out slightly but remain elevated above 50 degrees. Looking ahead, forecasts show a slight drying trend into the start of September.

The seven-day forecast shows relief through this week, with temperatures dipping below seasonal averages. However, after lows on Tuesday and Wednesday, expect a slight warming trend to kick off September.
