Man suspected of driving motorcycle into crowd near Riverside arrested

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KESQ) - A 40-year-old man suspected of driving a motorcycle into a crowd and injuring two people in an unincorporated area bordering Riverside today was taken into custody.

Deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff's Station responded around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday to the 20000 block of Krameria Avenue to reports of an altercation, with a motorcyclist later driving into a crowd, initially injuring two people, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

Further investigation revealed to responding deputies that three individuals sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital in stable condition, though the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.

The suspect was believed to have intentionally accelerated into the crowd, injuring the two people.

The suspect also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital, and later released and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, sheriff's officials said.
