A touch below average as we transition to fall!

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – It's been a nice run of weather so far this weekend. Relatively dry conditions and milder temperatures have prevailed; temperatures have been running just shy of the 100°F mark in Palm Springs on Sunday.

We're continuing to see a trough off the central CA coast; that's invited some high clouds and upper-level moisture into the mix for us locally.

This is helping temperatures stay below average as high pressure gets kicked further off to the east. We'll be in transition with our temps staying moderated before high pressure builds back later in the week.

The cooling trend continues Monday. Highs should drop closer to the mid-90s range in Palm Springs; most valley spots should be under the century mark.

It looks great on the hour-by-hour forecast through your Monday.

We're seeing a slight bump in humidity tomorrow. Dew point temperatures should stay comfortable overall, though some spots could see 50s on Monday.

Monday marks the coolest day of the week, and Tuesday marks the first day of fall! A slight warming trend will likely bring us a couple of degrees above average by the weekend, but we should be staying 3-5° above normal, at most.
