Seasonable temps as Autumn begins

Winds have dropped nicely into single digits speeds, and we're enjoying mild temps. Today, highs will coming right at the century mark -- one degree above seasonal norms.

Presently, the monsoonal flow is well East of the Coachella Valley, but there are hints that we could see a little increase in moisture as Hurricane Polo moves father North over the next few days. The impact from that storm won't be felt here until early next week if at all.

But as that huge storm (currently Category 4) moves closer, we could see increased humidity and small chance of showers by Monday around SoCal.

So far, most indicators are that hurricane impacts will be minor for the region. Highs remain a degree or two above average until Sunday, when we drop back into the 90s.
