Humidity rises as the tropics heat up

Humidity will remain a bit higher today, thanks to an active tropical season in the Eastern Pacific. Today our dew points will be running mainly in the lower 60s.

Temps look reasonably comfortable, just a degree or two above our seasonal average of 99.

Tropical moisture is combining with outflow from Hurricane Polo to keep us more humid than normal through Tuesday of next week. There's even a small 20% chance of showers Sunday night, Monday, and into Tuesday.

Hurricane Polo is likely to curve back towards the East, cutting across the Baja Peninsula late this weekend. That will likely mean an increase in humidity for SoCal, sparking that small chance of showers.

Temps look good next week, at or below seasonal norms, as we dry out late Tuesday into Wednesday.
