Highs will remain 8-12 degrees above our seasonal norms (95) through Friday, but a nice cool-down arrives this weekend.

Because of this, the National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch has been posted for the Valley through Friday evening. This is in concert with the Extreme Heat Watch in Imperial County, and the Extreme Heat Warning for the Inland Empire and Coastal Cities.

A broad ridge of high remains the culprit, keeping temps above average until the weekend.

Temperatures start to come down as soon as Saturday, with temps into the upper 80s by next week!
