An Extreme Heat Warning will go into effect at 10 this morning, lasting through Friday evening at 8 p.m.

Highs are expected to climb some twelve degrees above normal (94), topping out near 106.

The ridge of high pressure stays in place through Friday, then starts to collapse moving into the weekend.

Significant changes arrive this weekend as the ridge weakens. Highs drop into the 90s Saturday. Sunday, winds will be significant, and by early next week we're in the 80s for daytime highs!
