Modernism Week brings disco parties, unique tours to Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - Modernism Week is bringing midcentury modern architecture, vintage culture and new evening entertainment to the Coachella Valley for its fall lineup.

The schedule includes a 1970s disco-themed after-party at Spirit Animal and special dining experiences at restaurants including Bar Issi, Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge and King’s Highway.

Organizers are also highlighting tours that explore the area’s architecture and history, including Blue Skies Village: Behind the Gates of a Hollywood Hideaway, CoCo Cabana: Designed for Gracious Living and a downtown walking tour featuring local trailblazers and visionaries.

Other events include mod bingo, vintage shopping and Casual Concours — Swinging 60s on Route 66.
