Santa Ana winds and temperatures ease

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — Temperatures have warmed back up toward the 90-degree mark but remain below seasonal averages, with today’s high reaching 87 degrees.

Santa Ana winds are easing, though gusts are still expected in high-wind areas. If you plan to travel through the Banning Pass, monitor conditions, especially if you’re driving a larger vehicle.

Highest Winds from Thursday - Now

The high-wind warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until midnight tonight.

Winds should die down over the next 24 hours, leaving the Coachella Valley with comfortable conditions. Highs are expected to range from the upper 70s to the low 80s late next week.
