Santa Ana winds diminish, comfortable conditions ahead

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — Elevated Santa Ana winds have diminished overnight, meaning the high wind warning from the National Weather Service is no longer in effect.

However, winds will pick up again later this evening.

Tonight at 5 p.m.

Temperatures today will be slightly warmer than yesterday as a warming trend takes hold, with the low-pressure system continuing to move northeast past Southern California.

We are monitoring chances for precipitation in the valley on Wednesday and Thursday next week, although chances are currently low, at around 30%.

The warming trend won’t last long, though. After Monday’s peak temperatures, a cooling trend will begin, bringing highs into the 70s by the middle of next week.
