Spectacular this weekend with warming trend underway

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – Conditions have been picture-perfect in the Coachella Valley this Saturday. We'll be continuing our run of beautiful weather for the next few days – *perfect* for tomorrow's Golf Cart Parade in Palm Desert!

If you plan to arrive earlier in the morning, consider a light sweater. We'll start the day in the 60s. It looks perfect for noon, though, when the parade is set to get underway!

As an area of low pressure moved through yesterday, we saw some rain in parts of Southern California. Rainfall totals in Palm Springs made it to a tenth of an inch; Yucca Valley was the highest in our area, registering 0.41" in the High Desert. That low continues to march northeastward and out of area through today and Sunday.

As the low moves away from us, we're seeing gradually warmer conditions entering the picture. Sunday should be a touch warmer than Saturday; we'll continue to warm through Monday and Tuesday. Highs should top out in the mid- to upper-80s – seasonal and comfortable!

Highs hold at the seasonal mark until another round of cooler weather slides in midweek. Early indications show unsettled weather to make a return late-week. Models are highly uncertain for right now, but rain chances could begin Friday. We'll keep you posted, but in the meantime, prepare for the chance of a wet Halloween!
