Warming trend into the new week

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — Highs today will remain near seasonal averages at 87 degrees, providing comfortable conditions for outdoor activities — especially the golf cart parade in Palm Desert at noon!

Morning moisture may slightly elevate moisture levels in the short term, but conditions will remain dry, with dew points in the 40s.

A trough of low pressure is beginning to develop over the region and will influence Southern California's weather, bringing cooler temperatures. Additionally, the weather team is monitoring forecast models, which remain split on whether rain will fall next weekend. Stay with us as we continue to monitor those chances.

Over the next week, highs will warm slightly to start the week before a cooling trend takes hold. Beginning Wednesday, temperatures will fall, reaching the upper 70s by Halloween.
