Another day of heat before cooling begins

The Coachella Valley is feeling the heat and above-normal temperatures for the second day in a row. Palm Springs reached 110° this afternoon. Average for the date is 101°.

Clear skies will continue through the evening with temperatures gradually cooling into the mid 90s around 9:00 p.m.

A cooling trend begins tomorrow with high temperatures in the low 100s and further cooling into the 90s on Saturday. 30-40 MPH wind gusts can be expected beginning Friday evening into the weekend.

Temperatures will return to seasonal conditions on Sunday with a continued warm-up forecast into early next week.
