Some notable rainfall here in the lower desert with some communities exceeding a half-inch of rain! A few passing showers are possible today but little to no accumulation will occur.

Snow levels dropped to 2,000' on Thursday and a couple of inches was recorded in Beaumont.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains until 10:00 p.m. Chains will be required on all mountain roads.

More wind will be felt in the desert today with gusts near 25 MPH. Wind gusts up to 40 MPH will be possible around HWY 62 and Joshua Tree National Park. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 3:00 p.m.

Only slightly warmer than yesterday, high temperatures will max out in the upper 50s in the early afternoon. Gradual warming will occur through the weekend and into early next week but clouds will be lingering around the Coachella Valley.
