LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani police say a Muslim mob descended on a sports equipment factory in eastern Punjab province, killing a Sri Lankan and burning his body over allegations of blasphemy. A police chief in the district of Sialkot, where the killing occurred, said factory workers had accused the victim of desecrating posters bearing the name of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad. Police say initial information shows the Sri Lankan was lynched on Friday by the mob inside the factory. It remained unclear what exactly prompted the attack on the Sri Lankan, whose body was sent to hospital for an autopsy.
