Ukrainian rescuers hunt for survivors of Vinnytsia airstrike

VINNYTSIA, Ukraine (AP) — Rescuers with sniffer dogs were combing through debris in a central Ukrainian city looking for people missing after a devastating Russian missile strike that killed at least 23 people and wounded more than 200. Russian forces pounded other sites in Ukraine in a relentless push to wrest more territory. The cruise missile strikes Thursday on the city of Vinnytsia were the latest carnage to fan international outrage since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine in February. Meanwhile, Russia reported progress on a plan to export Ukrainian grain. On the political front, Russia barred nearly 400 Japanese parliament members from entering the country due to Japanese sanctions on Russian lawmakers.
