Palm Springs to bring back ‘Rock the Park’ tribute band concert series

KESQ

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - A tribute band concert series will return for its fifth season every first Wednesday of the month starting in December, the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce announced today.

The family-friendly and free ``Rock the Park'' concert series will take place at 7 p.m. in the city's Downtown Park.

The concert lineup includes "The Springsteen Experience'' on Dec. 3, "Bee Gees Forever'' on Jan. 7, "Bruno and the Hooligans'' on Feb. 4, "Always, Adele'' on March 4, "Song Bird: The Singular Tribute to Barbra Streisand'' on April 4, and will conclude on May 6 with "Listen to the Music: A Doobie Brothers Tribute.''

Officials advise attendees to bring blankets and chairs.

"Our city now has the perfect outdoor venue for a concert series like this,'' Chamber of Commerce CEO Nona Watson said. "Our goal is to bring visitors and residents from throughout the Coachella Valley to downtown Palm Springs during the middle of the week -- supporting our local bars, restaurants and retails businesses."
