100th Day Of School Celebrated With 100 Ft. Banana Split

It was a ?banana bonanza? at a local middle school on Thursday.

Feb. 10 marked the 100th day of the school year, and John Glenn Middle School in La Quinta celebrated with a 100-foot bananna split.

The W.E.B. program put the event together.

W.E.B. stands for Where Everybody Belongs, and the club pairs 8th grade students with 6th graders to show them the ropes and help make the transition from elementary school a smooth one.
