Bill Clinton & Chelsea to return for Health Matters Summit

President Bill Clinton and Clinton Foundation Vice Chair Chelsea Clinton will host the Clinton Health Matters Initiative’s (CHMI) fifth annual Activation Summit, an annual event that assembles leaders from a variety of health fields to identify strategies for systemic health improvement and ways to implement those strategies, according to an advisory.

The event takes place on January 24 – 25 at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa, located at 44400 Indian Wells Lane.

Organizers said more than 400 leaders in healthcare, technology, business, education, and government will gather to highlight systemic approaches to chronic disease prevention nationwide.

The health summit is the anchor event of the Clinton Health Matters Initiative.

Key themes at this year’s summit will include communities as centers of health innovation, the quest for longevity and healthy aging, health-tech innovation, and addressing health disparities through entrepreneurship, officials said in the release.

Last year’s Health Matters Initiative featured an ESPN Town Hall which included President Clinton and Kobe Bryant discussing key strategies to improve access to sports and physical activity.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 is always at the event and we’ll bring you full coverage as it begins.
