A familiar face will now be taking the helm as the Artistic Director of the Palm Springs International Film Society.

Lili Rodriguez steps into the role just three years after she came on board with the society as their Program Manager in 2016. In 2017, she transitioned into the role of Director of Programming for the 28th Palm Springs International Film Festival and as the Festival Director for the Palm Springs International ShortFest.

“I've been incredibly fortunate to work alongside such great collaborators along the way,” said Rodriguez.  “Palm Springs and the Film Society have been an amazing home and I look forward to working with our team and the community to promote the organization's vision at a high level of excellence.”
Rodriguez will ''oversee all artistic decisions" for the ShortFest (June 18-24) and PSIFF (January 2-13), according to a Film Society news release.

“The Festival needed a full-time employee that exclusively programmed, developed and operated Palm Springs International Film Society programs.  Lili lives for film. The improved performance of ShortFest under her direction has been nothing short of remarkable,” said Festival Chairman Harold Matzner.  “She is extremely intelligent and talented and going to be a superstar in the festival world.”
