Indian Canyon Drive two-way project continues in Palm Springs

12-2-INDIAN-CANYON-DRIVE-CONVERSION-GFX

Delays could return for motorists today as construction crews continue working to convert Indian Canyon Drive from a one-way to two-way thoroughfare.

The work scheduled for today through Friday will include various lane closures from Camino Parocela to Tachevah Drive, where crews will be removing old lane striping, arrows and other items for the previous one-way northbound street.

Crews will also be leveling the road surface to prepare for final paving.

The roadway will not close altogether. Street parking will also be affected.

City officials are asking motorists to allow for extra time to get through the area, or to consider alternative routes.

The city anticipates construction to wrap up in January 2020.
