A disputed $10 million agreement between Desert Heathcare District and the Coachella Valley Association of Governments appears to have found a possible resolution.

The two agencies made the announcement today that the health district will consider the draft grant contract at its meeting Tuesday.

The initial agreement was used by CVAG to secure millions of dollars in additional grants for the CV Link project.

The plan is to build an alternative transportation path for bicyclists and pedestrians through the Coachella Valley.

Palm Desert put plans on hold to build five miles of new pathway next year when a fall out became apparent earlier this year.

Today's statement said CVAG intends to notify Palm Desert officials to move ahead as planned with its new construction.

The Desert Healthcare District board meeting is scheduled Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at YMCA of the Desert, 43930 San Pablo Ave., Palm Desert.
