Indian Canyon Dr. closed at the wash due to flooding, traffic signals out in Palm Springs

Indian Canyon Drive has been closed at the wash in Palm Springs due to flooding.

The news was shared out by the Palm Springs Police Department at 2:41 p.m.

No timeline has been released about the length of the closure.

This is the second major closure of a road at the wash in the valley; earlier Thursday afternoon, Cathedral Canyon Drive closed at the Whitewater Wash in Cathedral City due to flooding.

At 2:51 p.m., the Palm Springs Police Department sent out an alert stating that the power is out at the intersection of South Palm Canyon Drive and East Sunny Dunes Road as well as at the intersection of South Palm Canyon Drive and East Arenas Road. Traffic lights at the intersection of Palm Canyon Drive and Ramon Road are on flash in all directions, per PSPD.
