Fire tears through two units in Desert Hot Springs apartment complex

Crews from Cal Fire responded to a fire at an apartment complex in Desert Hot Springs Sunday afternoon.

The fire happened at the Kelly Villas at 13285 Mesquite Avenue

Two units in the two-story complex caught fire.

The call went out at 1:53, and the fire was "knocked down" at 2:19.

Four adults and three minors were living in the units, according to CalFire.

They are now receiving help from the Red Cross.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
