Outage temporarily leaves thousands without power in Palm Desert

An outage in Palm Desert left more than 4,500 customers without power for over an hour Friday evening.

The outage is centered around the area of Cook Street and Country Club Drive.

There was no word on a possible cause of the outage.

According to Southern California Edison, power was restored to most customers a little over an hour later.
