City of Palm Desert to hold Rail Station Feasibility Study

The city of Palm Desert is asking for resident input on the highly anticipated Coachella Valley-San Gorgonio Pass Rail Corridor project.

The planned railway, originally proposed by the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), will serve as a 144-mile bridge between Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley.

The railway promises to serve travelers going to and from Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley, with stops in San Bernardino and Riverside.

Local residents, CSUSB and UCR Palm Desert students and tourists are the target audience for the rail station.

The city of Palm Desert and RCTC are assessing possible rail station locations in Palm Desert.

On November 15. from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m, the public is invited to provide general feedback about the rail station and where it should be located.

The hybrid meeting will be held in-person in the UCR Palm Desert auditorium or you can attend via Zoom by clicking the link here:  https://palmdesert.zoom.us/j/85027891742
