Firebirds dominate Stars 5-1

The Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Texas Stars 5-1 at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Coming off an overtime loss to the Stars in game one of their two game series, the Firebirds used the loss as motivation.

The Firebirds netted five goals by Max McCormick, John Hayden, and Kole Lind. Along with that Ales Stezka had a impressive performance with 25 saves to improve his record to 10-5--1.

With the victory, the birds moved into first place in the Pacific Division with a total of 53 points.

Coachella Valley comes back home to face the Calgary Wranglers at Acrisure Arena. Puck drop is set at 7:00 p.m.
